Organizing the stock pile

So, my teenage daughter is traveling this week for Skills USA.
I haven't cleaned her bathroom for some time.
I noticed a couple of weeks ago that the walls were kind of gross. So while DD is gone, I decided this was a really good time to scrub her bathroom good.
And it was a good scrub. I actually meant to do a little each night, maybe 15 or 20 minutes at a time.
But last night, I pretty much finished. The walls are all scrubbed, the curtains are washed, the window's clean, and the cabinet drawers are emptied and wiped and reorganized. And I realized that I had a LOT of room under the sink.
After putting back DD's items, in fact, there was about enough room to move some of the stockpile into.
So I moved all the body wash into there.
And I'm thinking today I'll move all the shaving cream under there as well.
All the bubble bath, epsom salts, and bath stuff is in there already. And there's an extra package of toilet paper. And DD's mouthwash and fluoride rinse and hair dryer.
There's one empty drawer, but I think DD uses that for her makeup so I won't take it over.
It is nice to find a little extra room.

I also got some of my coupons that I'd purchased on Ebay. I got 20 Pillsbury brownie mix/frosting coupons. It is so tempting to run to Winco and use them all. But I'll desist. Even 43 cents a box for brownie mix is a little out of reach right now-it's a luxury item because we have plenty. I am going to be able to use these coupons until the end of September.

I am, however, going to go to Target tonight and get the Jif peanut butter that I have a free coupon for. And I have one other item on my list to look at while we're there,if I can find the coupons for them.

Keeping my eyes on the goal.

This is more like it

I must say.

I went to Walgreen's to score a deal or two. I decided to do a couple of transactions to see how low I could go.
My first transaction:
2 Twizzler's, on sale for 2 for $3. I used two 50 cent off coupons. I paid $2.18.
I got a $1 register reward.

Second transaction:
I bought two gallons of water for our next camping trip, 2 for $1.50
Two Skintimate shaving creams, $4.49 each
Two Milky Ways 49 cents each
and two Junior caramels, on clearance for 77 cents (usually $1 or more)
I used one Walgreens coupon to save $2.50 off the shaving cream
and two Skintimate coupons of $1.50 each.
Paid $5.48 and saved $10.83.
And totally forgot about the register reward :-(

I was so happy with the shaving cream savings that I went back after dinner for a third transaction.
I didn't have any more $1.50 coupons for the shaving cream, but I had a number of $1 off coupons. So I bought 4 more shaving creams, used the $2.50 Walgreens coupon (they have the ad in the store, thank goodness), and 4 $1 off coupons. I almost couldn't use the register reward as I had to have another item, so I was forced to buy some M &M's for 49 cents. Forced, I say!
Spent $3.96 and saved $15.50.

All in all, I paid $11.64 for $40.90 worth of product, or 72% savings. And I am now stocked up on shaving cream. Yay!
